His high-level, macro-economic and stock-market forecasts are read by more than 35,000 high-dollar investors and fund managers in over 70 countries. His reporting and analysis for The Daily Reckoning is read by more than 500,000 people regularly. Denning is also a regular columnist for Money Weekly, a Taiwanese financial publication.

Denning received his undergraduate degree in literature from the prestigious American University in Washington, D.C. in 1995. He earned a master's degree in the Liberal Arts from St. John's College. Denning spent a year observing U.S. markets from Paris before relocating to the London offices of Fleet Street Publications. Dan's latest project has him currently residing in Australia

04/27/06 - The Losers in a Win-Win World
by Dan Denning "It's a weird and dangerous situation we're in. Global interest rates are rising. That means liquidity is tightening. It's getting more expensive to borrow money all over the globe."

04/20/06 -  The Last Great American Energy Booom
by Dan Denning "To see why a modest lump of coal plays such an important role in the future, you need to understand how coal made the modern world."

3/22/06 - Suburbistan: Here Comes the Fiscal Firestorm

10/01/05 - War Games
by Dan Denning "One thing is clear: The production of cheap, high-quality petroleum is declining. This will unleash a series of geopolitical and domestic economic consequences."

09/22/05 - Castles In The Air
by Dan Denning "While China takes the reality of peak oil production seriously, the second important news item from August shows that Americans are still behaving as if it were possible to get rich buying houses from one another."

09/10/05 - A Hedge Against Hard Times
by Dan Denning "One would hardly expect to get a history lesson in Las Vegas. But, of course, little gems and nuggets of wisdom were liberally dispersed here at the gold and precious metals conference that took place at the Mirage this week."

07/26/05 - Decapitation Strategy
by Dan Denning "Two weeks ago, a Chinese general said that if the U.S. intervenes in any conflict with Taiwan, they would be forced to retaliate with nukes. Dan Denning looks at the factors surrounding the situation and wonders if this threat could become a reality…"

07/13/05 - Energy's Liquid Future
by Dan Denning "This is a golden age for oil and energy investments. Either that, or a fiery sunset that ends with oil and resource wars. But, Dan Denning prefers to look on the bright side…"

06/23/05 - The New Serfdom
by Dan Denning "The marriage of subprime borrowers with ARM's is hardly a match made in heaven…but Dan Denning explores the more pressing topic - what happens when you combine falling home prices with rising monthly payments…"

06/14/05 - More Than A Conundrum
by Dan Denning Signs of inflation mean the Fed will keep on hiking short-term rates through the summer. But what then? Sell stocks? Sell bonds? Dan Denning explores…

by Dan Denning "China and Japan have stopped buying U.S. bonds…leaving just the hedge funds to support America's teetering towers of debt. Watch out below!"

05/25/05 - Parched
by Dan Denning "As the summer draws near, we might find ourselves parched for liquidity - not the type that fills a frosty glass with iced tea, but the type that fills a frothy stock market with buy orders."

04/07/05 - The Energy Revolution Intensifies
by Dan Denning "Energy is the dominant story of the month. It's hard to ignore when crude futures are setting new highs daily - and there's more than just rising commodity prices and a falling dollar to explain oil's rise…"

01/25/05 - Economic Dinosaurs
by Dan Denning "If the American fridges are cheaper in Europe, so are the Chinese fridges. No net competitive gain in the fridge market…or perhaps in ANY market for manufactured goods."
